The Oldest Artist's Tools are the Best

Here's a sketch I made in crayon of my little Mandy-Pandy. Actually, I drew it in orange crayon on green construction paper. Let's hear it for the magic of Photoshop!

Hey Tony, I see you are a Frank Zappa fan, well me too! Imagine my ultimate surprise to find that I live about one block from Suzy Creamcheese here in London...ha.

Lovely, Tony! There's something in a quick sketch with a tangible, organic drawing tool that no amount of tweaking on the computer can ever get near.

Best wishes to you and your family for a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

She's a cutie, Tony.

I agree. Using a tool in your hands that deposits something on paper is better than doing it in the computer.

Maybe it's the energy. Your fingers and hands in direct contact with the paper and drawing implement...a way for a little bit of your soul to follow the image you've made...?

dunno. but at any rate, i like the feel of substance on substance.
