Spring is in the air

As it turns out I have not one, not two, but three- Three Herniated Disks- ah ah ah ah! (Insert lightning & thunder here.) As the good doctor described it, in-between the vertebrae are disks, which resemble jelly doughnuts. Among other things, they provide a cushion between the vertebrae. Apparently, three of them have ruptured and are oozing their jelly against my spinal cord. The result is that I have to stay in bed for a few weeks. Lovely. I keep telling my wife & kids to throw me out & get a new one, but for some reason, they refuse.

First off, the background is really cool, and creepy.

Love the springs on the frog, he looks so happy about the situation.

Its good to know that you are being taken care of, I hope you heal, or get better.

I'll send you some new springs in the post... get well soon... though if that's 3 disks that need mending it probably ought to be:

well, well, well.....

I like the look on the frog's face. Priceless.

Sorry to hear about your back. I've had back problems and can emphasize. Just take it easy and glad you are still able to create. Take care.

Tony - sorry about your back! And how could your family ever get a new you - you're one of a kind! Perhaps you could use some springs to replace your disks. I hope you rest up and get well soon:>

I love your bouncy frog! He doesn't seem to be too keen on his new feet though!

YIKES! I'm so sorry your back is still hurting!! Take care of yourself...and, enjoy your time off your feet! (I wish I could stay in bed a few weeks! LOL!).

Fun illo...boing! boing! boing! I would love to have springs on my feet!! Think you can arrange that?

Love your illo! Poor veteran frog! But really funny!
And be patient! In time, your body will heal. Lucky you have your family around you! :)

Will send good vibes your way - hopefully you'll be springing around in no time! Take it easy for a bit!

That's a pretty good description - I think within each disc there is a smaller sac of squishy stuff and that's actually what gets herniated in most cases. That's not good, and you are really going to have to take it easy on your back after this!

So you're stuck in bed? Are you allowed to stand (not sit)?

Hope it all gets better for you!

P.S. The picture! It's a profound and eloquent evocation of what you're feeling - I love the expression! Spring has sprung...

Of course they refuse. Do you have any idea how much effort it is to pick someone new and break them in just right? Far easier to put up with the broken-down model. *G* Relax, and feel better soon!

Hilarious illustration. :0)

I'm very familiar with back problems. After the first day, "bed rest" doesn't seem so restful does it? Hope you are better soon.
