To All Penny Stock Spammers

In the past 3 days, I have gotten at least 20 (that's right- I'm not exaggerating- 20) spams a day for CYTV (China YouTV) stock. From everything I've seen on line, this is a new epidemic in spam & there's nothing I can do about it. But seriously- does anyone- I mean ANYONE buy stock based on spam? Is there really anyone out there stupid enough to fall for these pump & dump scams? Even if you don't know a thing about stocks, you have to know enough that if it were a legitimate enterprise, it wouldn't need a plethora of spam to get it going.

I've wondered that. But the problem is its free to spam people - I don't want to start having to pay for sending email but that would help reduce it...

I am literally inundated with the stock spams. E*trade actually had a problem with this a couple of months ago, as in either they or some of their investers bought the stock or added it to a list or something.

WOW! Can you forward me that e-mail? I'm looking for a new stock to invest in.

BTW, I think you can find some amazing stuff in e-mail. I just $2000 to help get a Nigerian prince out of jail. He said he would send me $4.5 Million as a gift for my generosity for helping him get out.

I'm also waiting for my delivery of a magic blue pill that should truly enhance my personal life.

And then there are the pictures. I never knew half of the celebrities took those kinds of pictures. I thought it was just Paris and Brittany.

Anyway. I'm joking. Working in the IT field, my favorite friend is snopes.com. This can debunk most chain e-mails. I usually reply to all when I get chain e-mails from people I know and let them know that this is a piece of crap e-mail.

Also, why do people forward e-mails. Do they really think that if they forward some poem to 20 of their friends manna will fall from heaven and all their prayers will be answered.

Sorry, I'm taking over your post. I'm in rant mode today. Maybe I should post this rant on my blog.

Sure, do your own blog too, but you're free to rant here as well.

Starting about a month ago my Yahoo email has been inundated with CYTV spam, 20 a day, and before that I had hardly any spam. I have no idea how it got my email address, but it is about the only spam I get. It has the image touting CYTV so I can't even set my Yahoo mail filter to keep it out. Why can't Yahoo identify it as spam? I just hope the company blows up and gets delisted so. Any tips on how to solve this spam email? If I could get rid of it, 90% of my spam would be gone.

For the last 3 days I've been hit by this 20 a day CYTV email beast too!! Grrrrrrr......

God, I wish I knew. I get them on my "private" email (the one I never use online, only for my friends.) The picture of text is to foil filtering programs- and then they take time to download. If they could spare no expense tracking the guy who put Star Wars 3 on the internet so they could send him to jail, I don't understand why they can't track these assholes. (The same goes for people who make Child Porn)

We've been innudated too- it's the server they get on to. I have more suspicious reasons for thinking this happens...it sure pisses people off and ties up the net...
