Dripping straight from my brain to your screen.
Powerful image!Stunning visual strength! Thanks for your comment.
This is so cool!
I love how the book page blends so well into the arm. It is super creepy though! With that said, I really like it. All of the different textures and colors work so well.
Thank you all so much for you kind comments!
Wow, this is amazing! The rendering on the book pages is remarkable... I can't take my eyes off it, well done!
Powerful image. Invites an emerging story.
Eew! Creepy nice!
yep. that would be one of my nightmares. all the books stacked by the side of my bed could be an army of appendages when I turn off my reading light. nice touch on the gold edged pages...
chelle - it was based on my parents' old bible, which - despite my agnosticism, I'm honored to have. Especially since it's covered by a hand-embroidered cover my mother made.
Wow... bizarre and beautiful!
wow.. bizarre and beautiful!
I hate it when my books do that! ;) Great image!
i think that religion may have imprinted in your psyche more than you realize...that is not a tickling arm!
This is such a cool painting. It reminds me of watching "Creature Feature" as a kid. I was always the most freaked out by the movies with the crawling amputated hands!! Well done!
wow! look at that gorgeous light hitting the edges of the pages so warm in contrast to the cool of the arm. This has such a strong visual and conceptual impact.ps thanks for popping by my blog and my son's(You made his morning)
@chelle - Religion did one wonderful thing for me, that's about it :)
@Alicia - any time - young and talented Doctor Who fans should be nurtured!
Escaping the book and stuck in the book?? A strong and powerful painting!!
Whoaaaaaaaa! That is one awesome image. It grabs me in all the right ways!
Very powerful & thought provoking image! A little creepy, too! Got kind of an "Thing" thing from the Adaams Family going on! :)
Verrrry interrressting... (In my best Artie Johnson voice). ;) and if you get that reference you get a star! I look at your work and feel like I'm not smart enough to get the reference haha must mean you're smarter than me, so I'm just trying to keep up! Great image. I love art that makes me think. Keep up the good work & your writing is amazing too!
@Liz, I would never claim to be smarter than anyone, trust me. Maybe just the average bear.My father had a Laugh-In record. An often repeated line around my parents' house is "Very interesting... but stupid!" The title is a reference to a Monty Python sketch that takes place in a book shop. Thanks for stopping by!
