The Illustration Friday word this week is Tree. This was an idea I had for an animation, sort of like a short version of Fantasia. I have so many ideas and so little time. Here is a pencil test from an earlier scene. Enjoy!

hahaha...cute little arms on that tree. And it brings back my fear of the tree that smacked dorthy for taking his apple in oz! yikes! although your tree is powerful and animated...and nothing like the terrifying flying monkeys.
What a determined little squirrel and a rowdy tree, off for an epic adventure...great, strong style!
I am wondering what is this tree screaming ! If I have the sound machine by R.Dahl I could tell you, but I have not. I can , however, imagine what the tree is feeling :)
He's actually meant to be rearing as if about to gallop off, but it looks like he's just sort of creeping here. I don't know if he's screaming anything... perhaps "Hey, there's a squirrel on my back!"
I love this! It is fun to imagine what the squirrel and tree will see together and what sorts of adventures they will have.
