I'm flattered, BUT...

If there's one image of mine that constantly gets hits, it this:

This was my first submission to Illustration Friday years ago, and it seemed to go over well.  I read online about google's reverse-image service, and found quite a few pages using it.  Many give me credit, all kept my signature... and almost all kept the copyright notice.  Now, I myself have been guilty of posting images I've found on the net on my blog, so I don't want to be hypocritical - but a little linkback WOULD be nice.  Therefore, I'm going to place this in the comments of every page I find:

"Hello, I'm Tony LaRocca.

I couldn't help but noticing my drawing on your site, and while I'm flattered, it IS copyrighted.  (For future reference, no one has to say that a work is copyrighted for it to be so, although it is clearly marked.)  Here is the original 2005 posting on my blog.

Now, as I said, I'm flattered. I'm not going to threaten DMCA action or even ask you to take it down.  To be honest, I'm quite happy for the exposure.  All I'm asking in good faith is could you please, at the bottom of your post- put the following link:

"Image (c) 2005 Tony LaRocca"  and link it to my blog - http://egotisticalproductions.blogspot.com/

Thank you very much.  I'm so glad you thought my image illustrated what you wanted to say.

Any thoughts?

Electrician Porn

Another excerpt from my best-selling novel, "Fifty Shades of Electricians":

"The lightbulb tried to resist with all of her ohms, but it was hopeless. She gasped as the electrons' savage friction fused her filament into a maelstrom of pleasure and pain: She began to glow. A wave of shame passed over her. Good Girls weren't supposed to like things like this, Good Girls were supposed to want romance and flowers. But she knew it was too late, she would be The Electrician's slave forever. Whenever he used his switch, she would be turned on."

Daddy Porn

"He grabbed the two wires in his strong, calloused fingers, and held them tight.  The copper seemed to stare at him, unable to speak, but somehow pleading.  Begging him to stop... or to go on?  He made his decision and roughly gripped the ends with his pliers.  Slowly, he twisted them, caressing the sleek, conductive metal with a brutal, hand-held vice of brushed steel.  The copper said nothing - taunting him - and he twisted it again, and again, stretching the taut, shining, brown surfaces, their bodices bursting from their insulation.  "Stay together," he commanded.  But they remained silent, only fueling his anger.  He sealed them in darkness, twisting their undulated, entwined forms together with a Scotchlok.  Soon they would be bound by ohm's law, sharing electrons with a burning, orgasmic passion."

From my new book, Fifty Shades of Electricians.

This is a comic I made last year, but I wanted to share again (in its original higher resolution, and with a much needed edit.)
