(Sigh.) "Let me guess, we're getting a lousy pizza party?"

"Nope."

"Wow. You mean there's going to be some sort of real party for us? Maybe a bonus, or an extra paid holiday?"

"Nope. Even better!"

"Better?"

"Better! You all get the honor of marching in front of him."

"What?" 

"On his birthday."

"What?" 

"In the rain."

(Stunned silence.)

"I told you - this is all to honor YOU!"

So let's be clear on this. Trump's dictator's-revue parade tomorrow is projected to cost $25 to $45 million. Meanwhile, he's planning to cut 45,000 jobs from the VA. Think of the actual good that money could have done for our veterans - if he actually cared about them in the slightest.

No, you do not have to be a veteran to be president. But as a US Army veteran, I am disgusted that this piece of filth draft dodger, who has called our fallen heroes "suckers and losers," has disrespected POWs ("I like people who weren't captured"), and who has had service members' achievements scoured from Arlington for the crime of not being white men - is going to use the Army to try and legitimatize his fascist insanity.
