"Hey, you know our new CEO?"

"The one who never actually worked for our company before, and called the best of us who dedicated their entire lives to the company losers and suckers?"

"Yep. That's the guy. Anyway, now that he's in charge, he wants to do something special to honor all of the past and present employees for the company's 250th anniversary. Isn't that great for him to do for you? Isn't he wonderful?"

(Sigh.) "Let me guess, we're getting a lousy pizza party?"

"Nope."

"Wow. You mean there's going to be some sort of real party for us? Maybe a bonus, or an extra paid holiday?"

"Nope. Even better!"

"Better?"

"Better! You all get the honor of marching in front of him."

"What?" 

"On his birthday."

"What?" 

"In the rain."

(Stunned silence.)

"I told you - this is all to honor YOU!" 

".........Could I please just have a slice of pizza?"
